We are located at Astoria Animal Hospital, right on Steinway Street in Astoria, NY. Easy access by train, bus, or car. Parking options are available nearby.
What services do you offer?
We provide a full range of veterinary care, including: Wellness exams and vaccinations, Emergency and urgent care, Surgery and dental procedures, Diagnostics (lab testing, X-rays, ultrasound), Travel certificates and microchipping, Grooming and boarding services.
When are you open?
We’re open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM to serve you and your pets. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended for shorter wait times.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?
We accept walk-ins, but appointments are preferred for routine care and faster service.
Do you handle emergencies?
Yes — we handle urgent cases during regular business hours. For after-hours emergencies, we’ll refer you to a nearby 24/7 emergency hospital.
How can I pay for services?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, CareCredit, and we can help with pet insurance claims.
Do you treat exotic pets?
Yes! In addition to dogs and cats, we welcome exotic pets, including: Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Hamsters, Ferrets, Birds, Reptiles (select species).
Do my pets need a rabies vaccine?
Yes, rabies vaccination is legally required in New York for both dogs and cats, starting at 16 weeks of age. Boosters are required according to state guidelines.
Which vaccines are necessary for my pet?
We recommend vaccines based on your pet’s species, age, and lifestyle. Common vaccines include: Dogs: Rabies, DHPP, leptospirosis, Lyme, bordetella, influenza. Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV. Ferrets & other exotics: Based on species and risk — ask us for guidance!
